Terms of Service

Welcome to Chronical Solitaire™ ("the App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you") and Chronical Games ("we," "us," "our"). By accessing or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Description of Service

Chronical Solitaire is a solitaire card game featuring historical themes, daily challenges, leaderboards, collectible figures, and in-app purchases. The App is available on iOS and Android platforms.

3. Eligibility

The App is intended for users of all ages. If you are under 13 years old (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction), you may use the App only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

4. User Accounts

• You may use the App as a guest (anonymous sign-in) or create an account using email/password, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
• Display names that are offensive, misleading, or impersonate others may be removed or changed without notice.

5. In-App Purchases

5a. Virtual Currency & Items

• The App offers virtual coins, power-ups, a starter pack, ad removal, and premium subscriptions for purchase.
• Virtual currency and items have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged, traded, or redeemed for real currency.
• All purchases are final and non-refundable except as required by applicable law or the policies of Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play).

5b. Subscriptions

• Chronical Premium is available as a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your device's App Store or Google Play settings.
• Premium benefits include: unlimited power-ups, ad-free experience, daily bonus coins, and exclusive content.

5c. Refunds

Refund requests should be directed to Apple or Google through their respective storefronts, as they process all payments. We do not have access to your payment information.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to exploit, hack, reverse-engineer, or decompile the App
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the App
• Manipulate leaderboard scores or game data through unauthorized means
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or infrastructure
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Upload or transmit offensive, harmful, or inappropriate content
• Attempt to circumvent in-app purchase mechanisms or obtain items fraudulently

7. Leaderboards & Social Features

• Display names and scores submitted to leaderboards are visible to other players.
• We reserve the right to remove scores or entries that appear to have been obtained through cheating, exploits, or other illegitimate means.
• We are not responsible for the conduct of other users.

8. Intellectual Property

• All content in the App — including but not limited to artwork, card designs, historical content, text, audio, icons, UI designs, and code — is owned by or licensed to Chronical Games.
• The "Chronical Solitaire" name and logo are trademarks of Chronical Games.
• You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works based on the App's content without prior written permission.
• Historical facts and public domain information used in the App are not claimed as proprietary.

9. Advertising

• The App may display advertisements from third-party ad networks (Google AdMob) after the initial 30-day ad-free grace period.
• Premium subscribers and users who have purchased ad removal will not see advertisements.
• We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements.

10. Availability & Modifications

• We strive to keep the App available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The App may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.
• We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue the App or any of its features at any time without prior notice.
• We may adjust pricing of in-app purchases at any time. Active subscriptions will not be affected until their next renewal cycle.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
• Warranties that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or harmful components
• Warranties regarding the accuracy of historical content presented in the App (content is for entertainment and educational purposes)

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Chronical Games shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data or game progress
• Loss of virtual currency or purchased items due to technical issues
• Unauthorized access to your account
• Any third-party content, including advertisements

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for in-app purchases in the 12 months preceding a claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Chronical Games, its affiliates, and its licensors from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the App will be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.

15. Termination

• You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.
• We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at our discretion if you violate these Terms.
• Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be communicated through an in-app notice or App Store/Play Store update notes.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full effect.
